Meet Scott Murray, DMD
Education & Experience
Dr. Scott Murray has provided orthodontic specialty care since 1981. A native of Visalia, California, he graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1972.
Dr. Murray attended the University of California Davis, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology in 1976, after which he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis.
While in dental school, Dr. Murray developed an interest in orthodontics, which led him to acquire two years of orthodontic specialty training at the University of California at San Francisco. He finished in 1981.
Professional Memberships
As a lifelong learner, Dr. Murray participates in several continuing education courses each year to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics.
He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest level of certification that an orthodontist can achieve.
Dr. Murray is a member of the following professional organizations:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists
- Tulare-Kings Dental Society
- Roth-Williams International Society of Orthodontists
Case Reports
Dr. Murray also provided case reports for the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO).
Outside of the Office
Dr. Murray is married and has two grown children, Scott and Margaret. Dr. Murray is active in the community, supporting local charities, sports teams and many other of his patients' endeavors.
